Director of Finance

The Director of Finance is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to raise funds for the organization and overseeing all financial activity. This includes identifying potential funding sources, such as individual donors, corporations, and foundations, and developing relationships with these entities. This role also comprises the responsibilities of monitoring cash flows and allocations, ensuring that historical and future transactions are accurately accounted for. The Director of Finance also develops proposals and presentations to secure funding, and works closely with other members of the executive team to ensure that the organization's fundraising efforts align with its overall mission and goals. Additional responsibilities include: managing a team of no more than 5 people who support the Finance Team, organizing and coordinating department activities and fundraising efforts, and promoting an all-inclusive environment that supports TED's mission of ideas change everything. Note: This position is only open to undergraduate students enrolled at Northeastern University.

If you truly understand what it takes to put on a professional event, this is the role for you with a front seat to many aspects of the event. This role directly works with the logistics side of the organization. This includes developing an accurate schedule for the flagship event as well as aiding the Director in managing the timeline for the year. This role handles all forms, sheets, and data within the organization and Google Drive. Managing the attendance, onboarding, offboarding, applications, etcs. are all duties for the Logisitics Coordinator. During the event, this coordinator directs the flow of event, including registrations, set up, and clean up and ensures that everything runs smoothly.

This position holds more responsibility in regard to decisions with external vendors, purchases, and logistics. They contribute to both the logistics and procurement coordinators responsibilities, filling in where is necessary as decided by the Director. Example tasks include managing the inventory and CSI locker, submitting Event Requests on Engage, supervising the schedule and timeline, and managing the Google Drive.
